Imagine walking through a fashion market where the booths and racks are not separated by brand, a color code or what not, but purely by fashion archetypes and aesthetics. Yes, the ones you see and admire on Pinterest and TikTok: Mermaid Core, Cottage Core, Grunge, Hyper-Femme…etc.

 

We first approached Gigi’s Thrift Shop, that specializes in thrifting hyper-femme pieces and upcycling them, bringing one-of-one pieces and rare finds to their customers.

Gigi was incredibly enthusiastic about bringing our vision to life, and in due time, thrifted 100+ pieces, categorized according to archetypes.

 

Some of the featured themes included soiree, hyper-femme, Y2K, Grunge, Denim and more.

 

And goes without saying that it is the one and only Cult supported the initiative by providing their entire venue in Intersection Mall, 6th of October for us to design as we saw fit.

 

We acquired, produced and upcycled the require props: baskets, racks and flowers, and it all paid off the day of the event: a beautiful fusion of fashion and pop-culture, where we were present to show Gigi support with every operational aspect.
