Started out a model and now renowned digital creator, @amiraabdelazizzz, has been taking the world by storm with her impeccable sense of style and splendid spirit.

We spoke to Amira, a genuine figure, who opened up about her struggles, her journey as she grows her platform, and was generous spilling her success secrets with us, keeping it real the whole time.

Amira, how did you first step into the modeling/ digital creation industry?

Both ironically came by unexpectedly.

My modeling career started off as a favor to a friend. I was super super shy in front of the camera at first, but then I actually started to enjoy it, and I would really feel fulfilled when I saw the end result.

Digital creation started off by mistake as well.I found pleasure in creating content using local brands for free.

Then, my platform started growing, and it turned into a career that I didn’t knew existed.

Social media has been a friend or foe: kindly elaborate

Social media makes up a huge part of my life.

I’m on it for hours and hours, so I basically know the in’s & out’s of it, so that gives me the advantage of having the skillset and knowledge to actually create good content that engages the right audience.

I really enjoy posting & I love the feedback I get from people & i appreciate the fact that I can virtually help people.

It really is a privilege that I can’t fathom to this day, that people that I actually don’t know follow me & are actually interested & moved by my content.

On the other hand, social media has weighed negatively on me.

I’m super attached to my phone & I probably

can’t last 10 minutes without checking Instagram or TikTok, so social media has given me a career, a community, and a confidence boost, but it’s also created unrealistic expectations for life & beauty standards that are impossible to meet.

What is one practice that stepped up your online presence & growth?

Consistency, video editing, and figuring out exactly what I’m passionate about & what people actually like to see. I came to the conclusion that I like experimenting with clothes & I have an unhealthy shopping addiction that will probably bankrupt me one day.

Posting quality content & enhancing my skills in editing reels & adapting to trends is what has helped me grow throughout the years.

So many people made fun of me but I never let that get to me; I make content for me, and for the people that can actually appreciate and enjoy it.

If it feels right do it & keep going.

What is one thing people would have a hard time believing about you?

I don’t know why but people are always super taken aback when they find out that I’m an introvert, and that I’m super shy, insecure, and awkward

a lot of the time.

I also still sometimes get shy when I take pictures or videos in public after more than

five years of modeling.

What are some challenges that come with working in the local modeling industry?

I’ve been treated like an object quite a lot.

Some people don’t think models have the right to an opinion or a voice in any way.

I’ve had a few comments on my body, weight and facial hair which was really hard to deal with at first, but I’ve learned to ignore the comments or speak up.

It’s also super weird to me how people generalize & associate models with a lack if morality.

I think modeling is a form of expression & doesn’t define who I am as a person at all.

I’m super super shy when it comes to talking, but put me infront of a camera & I’ll pretend I love the spotlight.

It truly is a form of acting that I had to eventually learn, because if I’m feeling insecure or upset it all shows on the camera.
